Community Partner Storefront Program
Eligibility

Storefronts will be listed on Covered California’s storefront locator. Consumers will be able to search for a storefront location by zip code, hours, and languages spoken.

To be considered for the program, please submit a completed application. All Applicants will be notified if selected, or not selected. Covered California seeks to provide adequate store front coverage in all rating areas and based on geographic need.
  • At a minimum, be open for business during core business hours (i.e. Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm) preferably offering extended weekday and/or weekend availability during open enrollment. If your storefront availability is “by appointment only” and you are not allowing consumers to walk-in, you will NOT be selected for this program.
  • Provide educational, enrollment, and renewal assistance to walk-in consumers during the open enrollment period beginning November 1st, 2015, and during extended open enrollment dates if necessary.
  • Must educate consumers on Covered California Health Plans as well as Medi-Cal.
  • Commercial space with Covered California signage prominently displayed on the exterior of the building.  Storefront signage must meet the following criteria:
    1. Covered California co-branded with visible Enroll Here language.
    2. Signage must be in place for the duration of open enrollment.
    3. Weatherproof exterior signage.  Applicants are responsible for meeting local municipal code requirements .
    4. Exterior signage must meet the minimum size guidelines as mentioned on the previous page.
    5. All signs and materials must be compliant with the http://hbex.coveredca.com/PDFs/style-guides/CC_BrandStyleGuide_External.pdf.
    6. Signage must be visible and legible from the street.
  • At least two photos are REQUIRED to be submitted with your application (one of the exterior of the storefront showing visible signage in place, and one of the interior showing an area where consumers can be assisted privately).
  • Hosting events is very effective as we have seen through the last enrollment period. You can host, or even co-host events with other entities. You can submit the event information via the https://coveredca.custhelp.com/app/events/admin/propose. Please allow up to 24 hours for approval of your event proposal.
